Public Notice: Shoreline Zoning – October 13, 2026
The Town of Isle au Haut Planning Board will hold a public hearing to accept public
comment on the proposed ordinance and map revisions on October 13, 2026 at 6:30
PM at the Town Hall. The full Notice of Public Hearing can be viewed here.
Burn Ban in Effect
ALL OUTDOOR FIRES ARE BANNED
Only exceptions are for outdoor grills which are attended with a fire extinguisher, burning trash in burn barrels with screen tops, and self-contained fire pits with screen tops attended with a fire extinguisher.
Violators are subject to fines and court action, and the cost of fighting a wildfire can be charged to the violator.
Isle au Haut does not have the equipment and trained personnel to adequately fight most wildfires.
Ban in effect until further notice.
