The Isle au Haut Comprehensive Plan and Vulnerability Assessment is now available for public review before it is submitted to the State of Maine. Written comments are being accepted through February 10. This early review period gives the Comprehensive Plan Committee a chance to hear from the community and make changes while revisions are still straightforward.
After the comment period closes, the Committee will review all feedback and make any final updates before sending the plan to the State. Once submitted, the plan will be reviewed by the State’s Municipal Planning Assistance Program and other state agencies. That State review process includes a second public comment period.
Reviewing the plan now helps ensure local feedback is reflected before the formal State review begins.
